Haiku Wars corrections
WHO, p. 87 I got mixed up and wrote WHO where I should have written WHAT: "Muya runs WHAT like a Third World dictator." WHAT, for the uninitiated, is the World Haiku Action Team.
Pookie's, p. 138 Oops! "Pookies" is the fictionalized name of the restaurant in question. Soon before going to press (one of my last edits), I decided to call the restaurant by its real name, Coop's Place. Unfortunately, I failed to "search and replace" all Pookie's with Coop's Place's. So, if you have a copy keep in mind that Pookie's is actually a secret name for Coop's—then it will all make sense ... maybe.
Enlightenment?, p. 179 Very minor: this should be in italics to show that it's being spoken telepathically by the narrator-ferret.
If these are the only two errors in the book, I'm lucky. But I'm afraid to look too closely at it. I discovered the "Pookie's" error by reading that chapter to a puzzled audience at the Maple Leaf Bar on a recent Sunday afternoon. I felt depressed, finding and reciting a flaw in my fresh-published little book, but I guess it just proves (again!) that nothing's perfect in this dewdrop world. Still, I'm enough of a perfectionist to resent this fact, as evidenced by this very page, which I feel compelled to post!
